Choosing the Right Marquee for Your Event

Posted by on March 11, 2015 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

Are you planning a wedding or other large event, and you would prefer to have a marquee rather than rent a traditional venue? Depending on the size of the marquee you need, you may not be saving any money this way, but you will have more options available to you than you would with other venues that may have strict rules and regulations. When it comes to renting from a marquee hire company, there are many things to consider to make sure that you get a marquee that is going to best suit your needs. Size When you work with a marquee hire agency, you can get marquees in just about any size that you need, and in a variety of styles from plain to ornate. There are several things to factor in to make sure that you get the right size marquee. The first consideration is how many guests you expect to attend the event. You will also need to make sure that there is room for furniture that will be inside the marquee. For instance, if you are hosting a wedding reception, you will need to have enough space for a number of tables, a bar, a dance floor, a buffet table, etc. Make sure that there is going to be plenty of room for guests and event staff to move around comfortably. Location You will need to look at the property itself before choosing a marquee for your event. If it is a sloping property, or there are a lot of rocky areas, setting up a marquee may be difficult. In some cases, blocks or even scaffolding and platforms may be needed in order to be able to set up the marquee properly if the ground isn’t flat and even. This is going to cost more money, as more time will be required for setup. Budget One of the most important things you need to consider before contacting a marquee hire agency is your budget. You can spend anywhere from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand dollars for a marquee, depending on the size and style. Once you have a firm budget in place, you can speak with a marquee hire agent to discuss all of the options in your price range. They will make sure that you get the ideal marquee for your event, at a price that will fit into your budget. Learn more about your options by contacting local resources such as Penrith Party...

Hiring A Bouncy Castle

Posted by on February 26, 2015 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

Having a backyard full of energetic small children around for a birthday party can be a handful. Harness some of their energy and keep them in the yard by hiring a bouncy castle for the kids. Here is how to make sure the party goes off without a hitch. Supervising adults are important Make sure to station an adult at the entrance of the bouncy castle to make sure there are an appropriate amount of children on the castle at any time. Even if there is a clear entrance, you still need to have an adult at the entrance keep an eye on the action as it can be very easy for small children to get knocked over and stuck in the back or a corner of a bouncy castle and struggle to get upright and back out. If you have children of all age ranges, it can be useful to have times for smaller and younger children only, and followed by sessions for the older and more boisterous children. Supervising adults also need to make sure no sharp objects get carried into the castle. Not only will a deflated castle take the air out of your party atmosphere, but also it is likely to create an expensive repair job. The adults can also make sure that no food or drink gets carried onto the bouncy castle. Not only will it likely spill and create a clean-up job you don’t want, but also the spilt food and drink will create a slip hazard that is likely to make the children fall over. Mark off the power source Make sure the power point that is powering the generator is clearly marked so it isn’t switched off accidentally. There is nothing more deflating to the party atmosphere than the bouncy castle suddenly deflating, especially if there are children inside the bouncy castle when it loses air. Leave enough time for set up and deflating Make sure to allow adequate time for set up and to get the castle packed away after the party. Ask the party hire equipment store to help you set up the bouncy castle so that you know how to operate the air generator if there are any issues mid party that you need to trouble shoot. You’ll probably want to have a little bounce with your children either before the party, or perhaps with some of the grownups once the kids have gone to sleep – so leave a few hours on one side or the other for a play without all the birthday kids.
